PINELANDS HOG HUNT 2023

After successful programs in 2021 and 2022, The Sarasota Sportsmen's Association is proud to partner again with The Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources and Solid Waste Departments, to provide hunting opportunities for Veterans and Sarasota County residents while assisting with the necessary removal of feral hogs.   These feral hog hunts will be held at the PINELANDS RESERVE in January and February 2023 (see dates below). All hunts will be for ARCHERY ONLY, WHICH INCLUDES CROSSBOWS. Since space will be limited, a no-cost lottery system will be utilized to determine participants. ALL HUNTING WILL BE FOR FERAL HOGS ONLY. ALL FLORIDA STATE HUNTING REGULATIONS SHALL APPLY.

The Sarasota Sportsmen's Association wishes to thank the Board of County Commissioners, County Administration and County Staff for their continued 

support and assistance for this program.

The Program Schedule Is As Follows:  

Sunday January 8, 2023: Youth Hunt (Under 16) - 100 Entries for 24 Hunters 

Sunday January 22, 2023: Veterans Hunt - 100 Entries for 24 Hunters 

Sunday February 5, 2023: All Sarasota County Hunters - 100 Entries for 24 Hunters 

Sunday February 19, 2023: All Sarasota County Hunters - 100 Entries for 24 Hunters

Registration for the lotteries will begin December 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM and end December 8, 2022 at 12:00PM.  Lotteries will be conducted by December 9, 2022. Hunters will be notified by email. 

                              YOUTH AND GENERAL HUNTS ARE LIMITED TO 

                                   SARASOTA COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY.

                                                       NO EXCEPTIONS.
